PaceDock Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Your privacy matters to H Studios Inc.
This Privacy Policy explains how H Studios Inc. collects, uses, discloses, protects, and stores information when you use our website, contact us, or use our apps, including PaceDock.
PaceDock is designed to be a calm, simple focus timer. We do not build it around advertising, tracking, social features, or selling user data.
Who We Are
H Studios Inc. is a Canadian company based in Alberta, Canada.
For this Privacy Policy, “H Studios,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean H Studios Inc.
This policy applies to:
The H Studios website
PaceDock for Mac
PaceDock for iPhone
Support emails or other messages you send to us
Related product pages, support pages, and app information pages we operate
This policy does not apply to websites, services, or platforms operated by other companies, including Apple. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.
Personal Information
“Personal information” means information about an identifiable person. This can include things like your name, email address, IP address, device information, support messages, or other information that can reasonably be connected to you.
We collect only the information we need to provide our products, respond to support requests, maintain our website, improve our apps, meet legal obligations, and protect our services.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
You may provide personal information when you contact H Studios for support or business reasons.
This may include:
Your name
Your email address
The contents of your message
Screenshots, logs, or attachments you choose to send
Details about your device, app version, operating system, or issue
You do not have to provide this information, but if you do not, we may not be able to respond to your request or troubleshoot your issue.
Information From PaceDock
PaceDock is designed to store most timer information locally on your device.
Depending on how you use the app, PaceDock may store information such as:
Timer mode
Timer state
Time remaining
Focus, break, and long break settings
Sit / Stand Mode setting
Current cue, such as Sit, Stand, or Move
Basic daily session counts
Notification preferences
App settings needed for the timer to work
This information is used to run the timer, restore your timer after relaunch, show notifications, and keep the app working as expected.
PaceDock does not require a H Studios account.
Optional iCloud Sync
If PaceDock uses iCloud sync, timer information may be stored in your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service.
This may include timer state needed to keep PaceDock in sync across your devices, such as:
Current timer mode
Timer run state
Timer deadline
Paused time remaining
Current Sit / Stand / Move cue
Next cue
Session identifiers
Sync revision information
Basic session counts needed for timer behaviour
Active timer settings needed for sync
This sync data is used so PaceDock can show and control one shared timer across your Mac and iPhone.
PaceDock does not use iCloud sync for advertising, user profiling, or selling data.
If iCloud is unavailable, signed out, restricted, or delayed, PaceDock is designed to continue working as a standalone local timer on your device.
Notifications
PaceDock may ask permission to send local notifications.
Notifications may tell you when a focus session, break, long break, or delayed focus period ends. They may also show timer actions, such as starting the next session or delaying focus.
Notification permission is controlled by your device settings. You can turn notifications off at any time in macOS, iOS, or inside PaceDock where available.
PaceDock does not use remote push notifications for advertising.
App Store, TestFlight, and Apple Services
If you download PaceDock from the App Store, purchase PaceDock, or test PaceDock through TestFlight, Apple may process information related to downloads, purchases, crash reports, diagnostics, refunds, and app usage under Apple’s own policies.
H Studios does not receive your full payment card information from Apple.
Apple may provide H Studios with limited developer information, such as sales reports, crash reports, analytics, or diagnostics, depending on Apple’s systems and your device privacy settings.
